Vancouver is off to a horrid start. They have to find a fire to put a stop to the losing spree they are on. I am not going to waste your time telling you about the stars that need to get on the board. We are at the halfway point of the season, time to put up or be a laughing stock.
The Roughnecks at 3-5 are heating up and their play as of late does not dictate their record on the season so far. Dane Dobbie, Curtis Dickson, and Wes Berg are gelling offensively. Zach Currier and Tyson Bell are causing all kinds of chaos for teams on transition. Christian Del Bianco is coming into solid form and the backstop is definitely earning his starting spot.
This is the second of 4 for these two teams. Calgary won the first back in December by a score of 15-12.
Kevin(12-9) - Vancouver is struggling. Calgary is finding its groove. Del Bianco is red hot. For all those reasons, I have to go with...Vancouver.
Gary(13-8) – Calgary wins. Calgary has been more aggressive lately on O and on D. Del Bianco has been stellar in net. Dobbie and Dickson are playing like the old days. Vancouver is too inconsistent, the main guys aren't getting it done, but at least the goaltending has been better since Penney became the starter.
Shawn(11-10) – Calgary wins: Roughnecks are on the upswing while the Stealth are back to square one, the goalscorers aren’t scoring.
8-13) – Calgary takes this win in a battle of goalies. CDB is on fire and has his team pumped and hungry. Vancouver just can’t get flowing like a team.
Taylor(12-9) – Calgary. Vancouver is just too bad.
Don(12-9) - Calgary outplays Vancouver at home and it’s the Dobbie and Del Bianco show.
